About London South Bank University
London South Bank University (LSBU) is a public university established in 1892 near the River Thames. During its establishment, it was known as Borough Polytechnic, and later in 1992 achieved university status under the Further and Higher Education Act 1992. Currently, it is known for its career-oriented courses that are closely connected with the real job. In 2016, LSBU was awarded Entrepreneurial University of the Year and holds a Silver award in the national Teaching Excellence Framework.
