When Do Foundation Year Classes Start in the UK?
Foundation Year programmes in the UK are usually available across three key entry periods. The main intake takes place between September and October, offering the broadest selection of courses and options for students.
There are also other entry points in January and around May, although these tend to have fewer course choices and are not offered by every university.
It’s important for applicants to confirm which intakes are available at their chosen institutions ahead of time. This to a large extent will ensure smooth transition and do away with stress, most universities organise orientation sessions before classes begin, helping international students adjust to their new academic and social environment, setting them up for success.
Short Note:
Ghanaian students preparing for Foundation courses should begin preparations 8–12 months early to comfortably secure admission, complete mandatory TB testing, and go through the UKVI visa process without delays.
