Scholarship opportunities in the UK usually open either before or together with course applications, meaning your scholarship search should begin well in advance of submitting your university application.
For prominent government-funded programmes such as Chevening Scholarship and Commonwealth Scholarship, application deadlines usually fall between August and November for the upcoming academic year. In contrast, university-funded scholarships follow a different schedule, with deadlines often spanning from December through May. Because many of these funding opportunities are limited and highly competitive, applying early within each application window is strongly recommended.
