‘Hartpury University and Hartpury College’ began as an agricultural college in 1948 and has since developed into one of the leading specialist institutions offering university degrees and college-level courses in land-based and sports disciplines. From an initial intake of just 50 students, it now serves over 4,700 learners from more than 60 countries. Hartpury was granted full university status in 2018, while the Hartpury College of Further Education became a subsidiary of the university.
