When Do Undergraduate Classes Start in the UK?
In the UK, most undergraduate classes start in late September or early October. This September intake is the main entry point, offering international students the widest range of universities, courses, and scholarships. It is the most popular choice because it fits the standard academic calendar.
While some universities offer a few courses starting in January, September remains preferred. It ensures you get the full university experience from the very beginning.
Before your classes start, universities hold orientation weeks. These help you settle into your accommodation, complete your enrolment, make friends and get to know the campus and support services.
Short Note:
Kenyan students should start preparing 8–12 months before the September intake to meet UCAS deadlines, complete visa requirements, and secure admission to their chosen UK University.
