About Swansea University
Swansea University was founded in 1920 in South Wales, originally as the fourth college of the University of Wales. It became fully independent in 2007 and now teaches from two waterfront campuses on Swansea Bay.
Singleton Park is the older campus, set in parkland overlooking the sea. The £450 million Bay Campus opened in 2015 and houses Engineering and the School of Management.
About 20,000 students from over 130 countries study at Swansea University. In 2021, 86% of its research received a world-leading excellent rating.
