About Teesside University
Teesside University is a modern university in Middlesbrough, North East England, known for its close ties to industry and strong graduate employment. It was founded in 1930 as Constantine Technical College, named after a local shipping magnate who financed the building. It became a polytechnic in 1969 and a university in 1992.
Over £300 million has gone into the Middlesbrough campus over the past 10 years, giving students modern labs, studios, and social spaces. The most interesting part is that the institution builds its teaching around practical work. Around 22,500 students from over 100 countries study here, nearly 40% from outside the UK.
