What is Student Accommodation Support?

Student accommodation support at Aims Education specifically helps students find housing that actually fits their budget, their university location, and how they like to live. Although we do not own accommodation properties, we work with Amberstudent and Uhomes, two platforms we trust, to connect students with verified housing options abroad and walk them through the whole booking process.

Nigerian students do not always think about housing until it is too late. They get the offer quite alright; sort the visa and book their flight. Then, three weeks before departure, they will remember there’s accommodation to be sorted. 

By then, everything feels rushed. They are left with the possibility of ending up in the wrong neighbourhood, in an overpriced room, and even the risk of signing contracts without reading them properly. We have seen this play out too many times.

How Our Accommodation Support Works

Our first conversation is always about the student. Not the housing. It’s all about the student.

We ask questions like, 'What is the budget?' Which city? Do they want to live alone or with others? How important is being close to campus for them, or would they prefer a livelier part of town? These questions shape our recommendations.

Once we have that information, we find options that genuinely fit them. We explain what the contract says in plain terms. 

We go over payment procedures and anything that needs a second look before the student commits. The purpose is to make sure the student understands what they are signing up for.
