About University of Kent
The University of Kent was founded in 1965 and sits on a 300-acre campus in Canterbury, one of the most historically significant cities in England.
It also has a campus in Medway and a postgraduate centre in Paris, which is where the nickname "the UK's European university" comes from. It is a public research university with over 19,000 students from more than 150 countries.
The main Canterbury campus is built on parkland, which gives it a quieter, more settled feel compared to urban universities. Kent covers ten academic schools, from law and business to computing, natural sciences, and the arts.
Why University of Kent Nigerian Students
Kent has a dedicated Nigeria country page and welcomes applications from Nigerian students directly.
Canterbury is affordable and just an hour by train from London, which gives students city access without city prices. The university has a WorldFest celebration and an international student wellbeing group, both of which make settling in easier.
