About University of Lincoln
The University of Lincoln sits on the Brayford Pool, a waterfront in the city centre. It began in the 1970s, when art, technical, and teacher-training colleges merged to form a single institution. It became a university in 1992, then moved to a new campus in Lincoln and completed its rebranding in 2001.
The new campus changed the university and the local area, making it a practical and welcoming place to study. Lincoln is small but rich in character, with historic sites next to campus, around 15,000 students, and a strong reputation for practical, career-focused teaching.
Why the University for Nigerian Students
According to the NatWest Student Living Index 2025, Lincoln is the most affordable student city in the UK. This makes it a practical choice for Nigerian students looking to study in a respected institution with a compact, modern, walkable campus and affordable living costs.
