About University of Stirling
Stirling was founded by royal charter in 1967, which makes it one of Scotland's newer universities, but it has covered a lot of ground quickly. The campus sits on 330 acres beneath the Ochil Hills, built on the historic Airthrey Estate, and includes an 18th-century castle, a loch, woodlands, and a golf course. It is genuinely one of the most striking campuses in the UK. Around 17,500 students study with Stirling globally, with over 140 nationalities represented on campus, and more than 30% of students are international. The university has earned a QS 5-Star rating for teaching, employability, facilities, research, and global engagement.
Why the University for Nigerian Students
Nigerian students often find Stirling attractive because of the strong sense of community and safety. The university offers a dedicated West Africa team to help with the transition to Scotland. Competitive living costs compared to major English cities also make the university a very practical choice.
